The Fitzrovia Medical Centre is a GP Practice located in a Grade II listed building in a beautiful Georgian Square. This is a relatively new site, having moved here from very cramped premises in the next-door building in 1993. There has been a medical practice in the square since at least the 1960’s.
Our current core activity is providing General Medical Services under the NHS GMS contract. We currently have in the region 7500 patients registered here. There are two GP Principal Partners, four salaried GPs, one practice nurse, and one healthcare assistant. We also have a Bengali speaking part time health advisor/link worker and a team of enthusiastic receptionists trained in supporting and signposting you. Our in-house pharmacist can arrange medication reviews and help with your requests.
Attached health care professionals not directly employed include an on-site physiotherapist, a health visitor, counsellors, mental health therapists, a smoking cessation counsellor, and several district nursing teams.
We take pride in a long-standing commitment to holistic person-centred care. For some years now we have been providing 15-minute consultations with doctors and nurses in order to give patients the time they need and to allow for the delivery of health promotion etc. All members of the Surgery Primary Care Team are dedicated to a quality policy to achieve health services that meet patient’s requirements
The doctors and staff at the Fitzrovia Medical Centre in Fitzroy Square in London are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. Our catchment area covers large parts of Westminster and Camden and our list is always open. Please ask at reception if you would like to join our practice.

Who else you might see at our practice?
Alongside our clinical team, we are supported by other healthcare professionals including physiotherapists and nutritionists. We also have a team of social prescribers who can connect you with local services. While our use of paramedics means we can better support our house-bound or frail patients. By having these professionals sit within the Practice, we can direct you to the right clinician for your needs.
